      Cannot read video capture

      I am receiving a "Cannot read video capture" error message.

      This is due to Windows Camera privacy settings.

      To fix this within Windows 11, type camera privacy in the windows search box as shown below.

      Within the results, choose "Camera privacy settings.

      Change Camera Access to On.

      This is a per user setting. If you have multiple users on one machine. This will have to be set for each user.
