Videology Imaging Solutions was formed in 1991 with a foremost goal to improve responsiveness to the technical and commercial requirements of OEMs. That initial basis for formation remains a corporate tenet today. Videology—initially a product of a union by several Philips Electronics groups with longtime engagement in image acquisition—expanded our US base to Europe in February 2000 by opening our design and distribution facility in Uden, Netherlands.
Videology produces more than 300,000 cameras each year for OEMs located across North America and the EU. Five of our six largest customers began using our cameras and related technologies in the early nineties and have been with us ever since. Our customers run the gamut, from Fortune 500 companies like Diebold and Carl Zeiss Meditech, to mid-sized security, biotech, and machine-vision OEMs.
Videology’s
success is inextricably linked to that of our customers.
It is therefore incumbent upon us to keep a well-trained
eye on market trends, and to be prepared for quick response.
As we witness the merging of building controls, access control,
and ID badging, along with the growing link between biometrics
and video security and surveillance, we are actively collecting
relevant market and adaptive technology. This comprehensive
vision allows us to better serve our customer base, as we
are positioned to respond to their varied but connected needs
from a broad perspective.
In the mid-nineties Videology initiated a comprehensive, organization-wide approach to Total Quality Management. An accolade-winning quality system was implemented, based on ISO 9001 quality management principles. We achieved ISO 9001 certification in August of 1999 and have maintained that manufacturer’s gold-standard ever since. In the fall of 2006 Videology underwent a stringent re-certification process and in December 2006 we received another 3-year ISO 9001:2000 certification.
Videology Imaging Solutions will continue to march forward on a steady path of controlled growth. Video security and biometrics are escalating markets, while industrial markets are stable and strong. We will succeed by helping our OEM customers succeed, keeping them as market leaders in their respective fields. We will continue to add value to imaging-related aspects of our customers’ products with the provision of high-quality hardware and software solutions.
