Linux Drivers Now Available with Videology's Newest Generation of USB Cameras

Responding to industry demand, Videology's newest line of USB streaming video cameras is now compatible with Linux build 2.6.34 and above. Videology’s USB Video for Linux (V4L2) installs as a standard Linux video driver. Based on GSPCA, the driver is compatible with many standard Linux viewers including VLC and Cheese.
Videology’s USB 2.0 cameras are ideally suited for miniaturization. Board and housed versions are available to OEMs for a variety of industrial applications including robotics, military and medical devices. Cameras are also integrated into access control and biometric systems. Videology’s growing line of USB Photo-ID models are used in many applications including visitor management, border control, e-passports, driver’s licenses, basic enrollment and Secure ID.
