Sales Management – Commercial Sales Director

Videology Imaging Solutions, BV has an immediate opening for Commercial Sales Director, who will also function as the Site Manager at Videology’s facility in Uden, the Netherlands. The Sales Director will directly supervise and manage a commercial group of 3-4 people in the Netherlands as well perform in a direct sales role with major OEM accounts. The position requires a minimum of 25% travel of the time in order to manage existing key accounts as well as to regularly target and gain entry to sales opportunities at new prospects.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned technical sales person having held successful positions in management at high levels. Strong team building skills and a collaborative mindset are key to bringing this group together to reach its full potential.
Knowledge and experience in image acquisition product sales to OEM’s are also important to success. Videology’s products typically require a design-in period ranging from 6 months to 2 years time, and significant engineering dialog and support is needed to bring these sales through to a successful culmination. The patience and discipline to handle this elongated type of sales cycle is critical for success.
Effectively filling the Site Manager’s role requires good governance of the operation of the Uden site. Past experience should include direct control & responsibility for overall site security, both electronic and physical. In addition responsibilities will include all site-specific human resource and legal matters, with support from both USA management and a legal team in the Netherlands.
Fluency in German and English is required, and a working knowledge of French is important. Other European languages are also beneficial as we continue to expand our customer base in to Italy and Spain to complement our well established markets in Germany, the UK, the Benelux countries and France.
Effective interpersonal skills to assure effective interactions among commercial, engineering & logistic departments, both within the Uden operation and with the USA counterparts, are also required for overall success and potential growth.
This position reports directly to Videology’s USA-based President & CEO. The position brings potential for significant personal and professional growth, including promotion within both the Dutch and its USA parent organization. There is a lot of synergy in marketing and strategic efforts within the two groups.
